Failure to Scan During ProTools Startup

Status: Unresolved

During the ProTools startup plugin scan, you may encounter a failure with the HPL Processor and see the message: "The following plug-ins failed to load because they are not valid 64-bit AAX plug-ins." This issue has been confirmed to occur when using the following combination of OS and DAW versions:

• macOS 13 Ventura and ProTools 2023.6

The development team believes that this problem does not occur with OS versions other than macOS 13 Ventura.

Workaround

Downgrading the OS is considered a workaround, but we recommend waiting for a plugin update. Customers currently using macOS 12 or earlier should refrain from updating their operating system.
